wrapping up 2006

Ahem.

Ahem.

Ahem.

Oi. Here lah!

So the extended disappearance is largely due to two factors - (1) work (2) being lazy. I hope that's enough to justify me being AWOL.

Then it hit me the other day while I was merrily feasting on mom's famous roast turkey - "Turkey means Christmas. Christmas means year end is a week away. Year end means 2006 is coming to an end (duh!). And holy mother of cow, I have not blogged in eons!"

Therefore, here I am, to wrap up the year in blogsphere.

I love year ends. Don't you? It's like this. You have this really old dress that you have been trying to get rid off, cos it's old right? And well, you don't have the heart to throw it out just yet, cos it's quite costly to start off with, and well, sentimental reasons or whatnot. And then you eye this gorgeous piece at the mall, and you know you've just gotta have it! So you buy it, and then now, you can throw out the old one.

OK, bad analogy I know. But it's always exciting to have something new, something to start over with. A new year rocks! Everything is served on a fresh plate and you tuck in and enjoy the sensations and tastes that overwhelm your tastebuds resulting in a kick-ass ride!

365 days make a year. Long? Not really? Short? Naw.

I'm sitting here, trying to think about the year and the people that I've come into contact with. I've done things which I'm proud of, and things which should just kept as history. And it's only human to admit that I've made friends and foe alike. Nevertheless, thank you to you for being a part of my 2006. I'm also sorry for all the nasty little things which I've done and in turn caused you hurt.

I shan't bother going through a long list, because I wrote a similar piece last year.

To one and all - have a smashing new year! I promise to write when things resume to normal on 3 January. Hehe. Stop looking at me like that!
