I love the sun. I think a tanned golden complexion is way hotter than a pale end result of being Olay-ed. Mocha over vanilla I say.
But after years of worshipping the sun and sea, I have come to one deadly realization:
I think I'm allergic to the sun.
After 5 days of frolicking under the sun and in the sea, I come home with some serious burns and rash. Yes, RASH. On both my arms.
They suck. And itch like a bitch. (oh hey, it rhymes!)
Not just this time round. Most, if not all, of my beach/island trips would have me coming home itching and scratching away.

Sleep has been interrupted of late. I get jolted awake by the pins-and-needles-sensation piercing through my right hand. What do you think are the reasons? A. You so fat, you sleep on your hand, of course become numb lah!B. My hand is falling off, and this is an early tell-tale sign. C. I need to drink more water to provide lubrication for my system. D. None of the above. You tell me why. ----------------------------------The new kid on the block wants to throw a party! Me is sucker for parties. Lagi best if no need cover charge. Yesh, I'm cheap like that.

There's this quiz that has been around for yonks, and I'm sure you've done it too.
One of the question had me rating animals - cow, tiger, sheep, horse and pig - in order of preference. Mine came out something like this - 1. Horse2. Tiger3. Sheep4. Cow 5. PigThe results... 1. Horse = Family2. Tiger = Pride3. Sheep = Love4. Cow = Career5. Pig = MoneyIt cannot be more true. Another question went somewhere along the lines of having me write the first word that comes to mind for each of these...Dog. I wrote loyal. Cat. I wrote evil.Rat. I wrote sneaky.Coffee. I wrote orgasmic. Sea. I wrote freedom.
Turns out...Dog = my own personalityCat = my partner's personalityRat = my enemy's personalityCoffee = my sex lifeSea = my lifeI like the sea part. Mabul and Sipadan in 12 days, baby!

I have never, ever bought outfits which are horizontally striped. Vertical stripes, yes. They make me look taller and slimmer. But that too is limited to work shirts and pinstriped jackets only.
I stayed away from horizontal stripes because I thought they made me look w-i-d-e-r. As I am already blessed with a sizeable pelvis and posterior, I should work at making them look smaller instead.
Till I found this piece that made me smile.
I mean, look at the glorious colours!
Despite my reservations about horizontal stripes, I pulled this off the rack, made my way to the dressing room, and slipped it over my head.
It didn't make me look w-i-d-e. I stepped out of the changing room and walked around the boutique for a bit, whilst catching an eye of myself in every mirror I walked passed. I loved it! It's such a fun, happy dress! And it clung on to the right places and hell, I am a sucker for anything V-neck - so I bought it.
All the pictures are taken in the car, because I was stuck in a crawl that looked like this...
And because I still have the zit on you know where, here's a picture of me wrinkling my nose instead.
(But if you look really, really close - you can actually still see it. Sigh.)
Anyways, the point of this entry - horizontal stripes don't necessarily make me look wide! Hooray!

It's not even Christmas yet, and Rudolph's gotten into town.
I am not going out, until the monster zit has gone away. In the mean time, I'll be home with Oxy.
